Description:PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE AD BEFORE SENDING MESSAGES WITH QUESTIONS. I've gotten a lot of e-mails asking questions that can be answered by simply reading my entire ad. PLEASE NOTE: This rental is for the entire apartment. I generally take reservations 4-6 weeks in advance. I keep my calendar up to date, so if you are interested in certain dates and they are listed as available, please go ahead and book. Please do not e-mail to ask whether certain dates are available. Also, I cannot save dates without a booking. I find that this method works best. Thanks! ABOUT MY APARTMENT: Cute 1 bedroom apartment (w/ firm Queen bed) with full bath and kitchen in safe, up-and-coming area of Spanish Harlem. 1 short flight up. Plenty of light. Windows in living room and kitchen. The apartment is in a brownstone on quiet, tree-lined block. Located between Lexington Avenue and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan. 3 blocks from #6 subway line (less than a 5 minute walk). Uptown and downtown buses around the corner. Buses and subways run very frequently. 10 minute walk to Central Park and lovely Conservatory Garden - great for runners. 15 minute walk to Museo Del Barrio and Museum of the City of New York on Fifth Avenue. Restaurants, convenience stores (Duane Reade, bodegas, delis), and inexpensive shopping right in neighborhood. Laundromat 1 block away. U.S. Post Office and New York Public Library branch is just 3 blocks away. The area is vibrant and a true slice of New York. Colorful murals by artists such as Dela Vega adorn the walls of many buildings - very unique to Spanish Harlem! My apartment is great for one or two people who need a neat and clean place to stay while seeing all that NYC has to offer. Bedding linens, duvet, bath towels, use of toiletries, hair dryer and flat iron included. Ironing board and iron. Kitchen has full-size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, juicer, dishes, cups, utensils, and cooking equipment. Save money by eating in! 20 flat screen tv (local tv stations plus NY1, TBS, and Food Network) with DVD player and small but good DVD collection. I'm easily reachable during your stay to answer any questions and help you out with sightseeing suggestions, directions, anything! *Please note that I do not have internet in the apartment. I can often pick up a signal anyway. I do have an HP printer (with paper) and computer speakers that you can hook up to your own laptop. East Harlem Cafe (just a few blocks away) offers wireless internet. Also, the local branch of the New York Public Library has a few computer terminals with internet access. Sorry, but I cannot accommodate pets. No smoking. Prefer vegetarian/vegan guests but if you do eat meat or dairy products, please be sure to dispose of remnants/leftovers. And, of course, my home is absolutely LGBT friendly! Note - slightly higher nightly rates for long holiday weekends.
