Description:Several ski resorts, retaining all the charm of the Savoie region, culminate at the Galibier mountain pass, a renowned stage in the tour de France bicycle race. Valloire, the biggest of these resorts, gives access to a huge skiing area, enjoying an ideally sunny climate, dominated by the impressive Mont Thabor and the Aiguilles d'Arves. Valloire, the ski resort of Jean-Baptiste Grange, world slalom skiing champion, combines all the elements necessary for a successful skiing holiday, offering 150km of skiing, for a “100% skiing” holiday.The resortMinimum altitude 1 430 m - Maximum altitude 2 600 m Ski to your heart’s content, in the Galibier Thabor skiing area, with its 150km of downhill ski slopes, at an altitude of over 2000 m with 86 slopes (20 green, 25 blue, 30 red and 11 black). The 400 snow guns on the resort guarantee excellent skiing conditions. If you are new to skiing but wish to discover the sensations, tandemski are available to hire, for a fun discovery, with friends or family. Night-time skiing is possible on certain slopes.For Nordic skiing, just go to Valloire, the other resort, which is linked to the skiing area via a shuttle. It is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm and is closed on Saturdays (open from December to April). They work in liaison with the skiing schools, a monitor will take your children from the children’s skiing school to the nursery. Prior inscription is highly recommended. Piou-Piou L’Ourson and Les P’tits Loups clubs. The French skiing school (ESF) takes children from the age of 3 (4 during the school holidays) in a specially adapted and protected area, with skiing for beginners. Special for children aged 6 to 10 : the French skiing school offers initiation sessions for young snowboard beginners, every day during the school holidays from 5.15 to 6.30 pm Special activity for children: torchlight descent for all the children, every Thursday evening Miscellaneous- Deposit (2 separate payments : apartment cleaning) and tourist tax to be paid on the premises.The deposit is given back after inventory on the day of departure or by post.The accommodation should be left perfectly clean.
