Description:This charming beach house in La Jolla Shores has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The historic home has unique character and was among the earliest houses to be built in the La Jolla Shores neighborhood. n nThe living room features open truss ceilings, pegged wooden floors, rustic knotty pine walls, and a wood burning brick fireplace. The room is furnished with a pair of comfortable white canvass down sofas. French doors open on to a covered porch overlooking the west garden. A big 52 Sony Bravia flat screen television with separate DVD player is included. High speed internet access and Wifi is included. n nThe original galley-style kitchen has mahogany wood counters, knotty pine cabinets and is equipped with range, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice maker. n nThe dining room is located just off the kitchen area and has a nice large dining table with seating for 8 and French doors that open out onto the outside patio. n nThe bedrooms are cozy and have beamed ceilings. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, two walk-in closets, television with full cable channels and bathroom with tub shower and single pedestal sink. The second bedroom is bright and sunny and has a king-sized bed and overlooks the south garden and pool. The third bedroom has a queen-sized bed and diamond-paned windows overlooking the north garden. The forth room is located just off the living room and has a set of bunk beds (2 twin beds), television with full cable channels and French doors opening on to the outside back patio and lots of sunny windows. **There are dressers in bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 but no closet space. The second bathroom has a standing shower, single pedestal sink and toilet. n nThe garage fits two cars and has an extra large front-loading washer and dryer set. There are beach cruiser bicycles and a big wagon for hauling your cooler and chairs to the beach. n nOutside nThe home has three separate gardens and a large swimming pool and 6 person spa/hot tub. ** When signing your lease, you will have the option to purchase pool heating at the rate of $40 per day. Pool heating is highly recommended for the months of October through May. Pool will be heated to a comfortable temperature of 87-88 degrees. n nThe north garden is enclosed by a white picket fence shrouded by lavender and jasmine. It features an ancient California pepper tree with a rope swing ideal for climbing. There is also a basket ball hoop in the driveway. n nThe west garden is surrounded by a laurel hedge and features an expanse of grass which is used for volley ball, badminton, bocce ball and croquet matches. It is large enough for the kids to play a game of soccer, flag football or T ball. n nThe south garden features a large swimming pool adjacent to a brick patio with teak table that seats 8 surrounded by fruit trees bearing lemons, limes, Mandarin and Valencia oranges. There is a small outdoor stone fireplace (chimenea), a pair of sun lounges poolside, a stainless steel gas barbeque and a traditional Webber charcoal grill. n nOn the east side of the property we have an outdoor beach shower. n nLocation nJust steps to the most fabulous beach in Southern California - La Jolla Shores.
