Enter into the main level of the cottage into the living/dining area where you will find warm, earthy colours, large comfortable furnishings including a leather couch and two chairs, hardwood floors, and a gas fireplace. You will be immediately drawn to the amazing view through the spacious windows, which provide lake views from the sitting area and the large dining table that seats six. As this cottage 's lot is situated due west, you will have a front row seat to spectacular sunsets. A flatscreen HD TV with satellite receiver and DVD player are available for family movie nights or rainy afternoons. For added entertaining or relaxing space the lake side veranda, which is over 400 sq ft, provides a rattan couch (great for an afternoon snooze!), a patio set and propane BBQ for outdoor dining and numerous chairs for reading, catching some sun, or checking your emails. A galley kitchen, with hardwood floors, has ample counter and cupboard space and features modern appliances, including a large gas stove, refrigerator with bottom freezer, microwave, dishwasher, lots of dishes, pots and pans and utensils to make your vacation cooking a breeze. A powder room off the main entry hall and laundry facilities in the centre hall, complete with washer and dryer, provide convenient amenities to this area. The master suite, adjacent to the living area, is spacious, affords a magnificent view and has a terrace door leading to a private south facing deck and veranda. A king-sized bed, walk-in closet and hardwood floors make this room a haven for quiet enjoyment. The master ensuite bath with ceramic floors, corner soaking tub, large glass corner shower, oak vanity, towel cupboard, and toilet, complete this private space. Located just off the master bedroom, a small office space with a desk, chair, and telephone provides a place for those who need to work while at the cottage. The wireless internet allows you to work from any part of the cottage. The ground floor can be accessed from the upper level of the cottage as well as via an interior staircase or it can be accessed from two exterior doors (carport and lakeside of cottage). When you enter the upper level via the exterior roadside door the staircase is immediately to your left. The second and third bedrooms are located on the ground floor, as well as a three-piece bathroom with a corner shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed, while the third bedroom has a set of bunkbeds with a double on the bottom and a single on the top. Each of these bedrooms has a dresser, closet and views of the lake. The third bedroom is also equipped with a 32 HD TV and Wii game system with games. Great for the kids! The cottage is equipped as a year-round residence with forced air propane furnace, air exchanger, central vac, satellite television, telephone, wireless internet, and attached carport. The grounds of this property allow you to find your own special spot: the covered patio with wooden chairs, the open patio with porch swing, picnic table and benches, a chair nestled under the trees overlooking the gardens, one of the two lake side decks with chairs and lounges, the roadside Bruce Peninsula stone patio with Adirondack chairs to catch the morning sun, or a stroll along the dry creek bed. The mature landscaping and wonderful gardens are favoured by butterflies, dragonflies, and a variety of birds, making this cottage the ideal get-away. The undulating shoreline with pockmarked limestone, once an ancient coral reef, is home to many fascinating fossils and rock formations. Swimming shoes are recommended. The shore drops off to a good swimming depth, with shoals and islands nearby. Eagle Harbour is a wonderful area to kayak or canoe. Bring your own or arrange for a rental from the Outfitter in Tobermory, who will deliver it to your door. The cottage is located approximately 13 km southwest of Tobermory on a paved road. A 10 minute drive gets you to great hiking or a sandy beach. Within the village of Tobermory you will find opportunities for shopping, eating out, or taking a boat tour. And why not relax on the veranda, with a glass of wine or cup of tea and let one of the spectacular sunsets provide the perfect ending to your day at Huron Cedars? Come by yourself, with family or friends and enjoy this lovely property!
