Description:You find our apartment in the historical city centre of Lucca, within the town wall and just a short hop from the central shopping street Via Fillungo, the famous square Piazza San Michele and other sights of the old city. A pay parking area is located in a distance of 100 meters, just within the town wall. The train station is in a distance of 500 meters, taxis bring you into the historical city centre and stop at the front door of the apartment. Our apartment of 65 sqm was fully renovated in 2012. It is situated in the 1st floor and is reached by a stone stair. High value was set on the selection of materials and facilities to make you feel at home. The ceiling is of traditional Tuscan wood truss, the floor iscomposed of Italian cypress and further wooden details,so that you will find a rustic ambiance. Thanks to several high windows the rooms are very bright. The view on Via Cenami is lovely, the busy street is part of the pedestrian area, so you are free from any noise of engines. From the vestibule you enter the living room, equipped with a sofa which can serve as a bed for two persons. Behind a fancy screen of boards there is a garderobe. In the modern equipped eat-in kitchen there is also a TV set with a 32 inches-flat screen, another sofa (offering space to sleep for two persons) and a cast-iron tile stove. The bedroom is provided with a double bed of solid wood and an antique commode. You can reach the bathroom from the vestibule as well as from the bedroom. A glass wall borders the very spacious shower, the floor is covered by anti-slip stone flagging. The double washbasin of concaved sanded boulder is unique. It is based on a massive cypress beam and has fittings of brass. Toilet and bidet are in a slightly separated part of the bathroom which disposes of a bottom hung window. A washing machine is positioned in the bathroom as well. The apartment is equipped with central heating. In the summer season ceiling fans secure cooling.
