Description:This 3 bedroom hillside home on 2 acres has the feel of a secluded cabin and all the conveniences of being near town (2 miles west of Red Lodge). Upon entering you are met with expansive views of the West Fork of Rock Creek Valley in the Beartooth Mountains through the floor to ceiling windows that compromise the entire back side of the house. Across the valley is a large elk refuge where elk can be seen grazing during the winter months. From the house you can also see deer, turkeys, and if you’re lucky, a bear or moose. The house is full of custom touches throughout that make it warm and inviting including new wood floors and carpet, beautiful photos and artwork cover the walls and there are multiple “woodsy” touches throughout. nThe living space on the upper levels includes the kitchen, living/dining area area, den/playroom and convenient powder room. The large living dining area has plenty of comfortable seating and offers opportunities to cozy up to a warm fire in the gas fueled “wood” stove. nThe kitchen is fully stocked including full-sized appliances, a large pantry and multiple kitchen “gadgets” (see amenities list). There is plentiful tableware include a set of “moose” dishes that make family/group eating fun and inviting. nThe den/playroom is separated from the main living room with French doors which allows kids to enjoy their stay while the adults enjoy the quiet. This room also offers beautiful mountain views from a large L-shaped sleeper sofa that can be made into a queen-sized bed. (There are curtains that can be closed over the French doors to create an additional bedroom.) A second seating area with couch and love seat includes a flat screen 32 TV with cable and DVD/VCR player. nA door from the dining area provides access to the small upper deck with seating for four and a new 3 burner gas grill. nThe lower level includes 3 bedrooms and a full-sized bath and tucked away laundry area. Each bedroom has floor to ceiling windows that can be left open for views of the moon and stars at night and beautiful sunrises in the morning, or covered with blinds for those who choose to sleep in. Each bedroom has a door that allows access to the large outside patio and hot tub. The hot tub is tucked into a corner and allows private views of the mountains by day and stars by night. nThe master bedroom has a king-sized bed with en-suite bath and large, walk-in closet. The second and third bedrooms each have queen-sized beds with large closets and dressers available for storage. The third bedroom has a small sofa for quiet seating or a sleeping area for the littlest guests. nThis home is family/child-friendly. There are toys, books, puzzles, children’s plastic dishes in the kitchen and standing stools in each bathroom to help little ones reach the sinks.

Originally a log structure, the ranch house has been modernized and expanded over the years. Currently it is a two story structure with an upper level deck that offers an excellent view of the mountains. The 7 bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. There are two dinning areas to choose from and always plenty of food served up for our guests in a family style dinning. Understanding our guests need to keep in touch with the outside world we offer our guests free high speed wireless internet access. Our internet access is via satellite so it really smokes.To the left is a view of the house from the deck side and on the right is the view of the mountains from the deck.The second lodging option is for those looking for a more private or secluded setting. We have a log cabin that has been completely remodeled from the ground up with modern facilities having been installed for the comfort of our guests. It sits away from the main house and is very private. It is nestled in the woods with the creek running close by creating the ambiance of true mountain living.

The north door of the park is the only door that is open all year. Livingston is on I90, 20 some miles from Bozeman, home of Montana State University. Livingston has the population of about 7,000, Bozeman is about 40,000. There is outdoor adventure abound including hiking, rafting, fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, downhill skiing in Bozeman, bird watching, wildlife viewing, etc. n nThe house is less than one mile from the nearest Yellowstone River boat access, a golf course and an off leash dog park. The cottage is pet friendly. It is in town nestled in a family type neighborhood. It is about 1100 square feet. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with 2 twins. 2 full bathrooms. There is queen size inflatable bed and one small roll away. A big living room, a dining area, a kitchen which is stocked well with dishes and pans and some little emergency treats like coffee and coffee beans, tea, a little pasta, etc. -just in case you come in after a long day and done28099t have time to get groceries. Great place. Private backyard with deck and gas grill. It is in a family type neighborhood. The house is chocked full of warm character with wood floors, some original to the house, original board ceilings in kitchen and main bedroom., wonderful artistic flair in the palette and character. Original art work abundant on walls. We, as owner/operators try to run the house in the most sustainable,green way possible. Bamboo towels, dishes, cotton bedding, cleaning with eco friendly cleansers, etc. except where regulation and safety require germ killing,etc. Do not expect a highly watered groomed lawn. We only water plants and the plants that we have added are native. In dry years the lawn will also be dry. n nHouse and area amenities include: pet friendly, no smoking!, wireless high speed internet, (no tv or cable- you must stream for that), in house desk top computer (mac) for your convenience for streaming or music, wood burning stove, gas heating stove, gas grill outside on deck, and laundry. n nSome guests have reminded of the fabulous star gazing to be had right from the deck in the very private backyard. Sometimes there may even be some northern lights. They are not the crazy spectacular ones that folks further north see, but they can be very entertaining nonetheless. n nLivingston is the most beautiful town in Montana. Stunning view down Main Street business district of the mountain range above. Lots of night spots.Livingston has several independently owned restaurants, several great independently owned breakfast spots, 2 live theaters, 1 first run movie theater and about a dozen art galleries.
