Description:Bakoven, a tiny suburb bordering a small, secluded beach, is one of Camps Bay's hidden gems. Its name was coined by the Dutch settlers, literally baking oven, and refers to a large rock off the beach that looks like an open oven, similar to those used by the Dutch pioneers. The dash of white sand is surrounded on either side by a combination of big boulders and rocks, with a narrow channel of ocean, through which the NSRI rescue boats are launched. Private and sheltered from the wind, with crystal clear turquoise waters, this haven offers an ideal summer experience for the whole family. Kids can be absorbed by the rock pools or the plethora of shells on the beach. Other activities include paddling out on the crystal clear waters. Famous for its breathtaking sunsets, be mesmerized and absorb the last rays of the sun while enjoying a sundowner on the iconic boulders. The house features elegant neutral tones and the soft white interior is matched with quality finishes. The balcony wraps around the house, and the sea views are awe-inspiring. The large dining room walks out onto the balcony and has beautiful ocean views. It is equipped with a flat screen television, DSTV and DVD player for your enjoyment. The cottage is equipped with air-conditioning during summer, and during winter, you can curl up in front of the gas fireplace. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and open plan. The whole top floor of the cottage is an entertainer's delight. The open plan kitchen and lounge, together with a large balcony, BBQ facilities and private garden leading to the ocean, lends itself to languid social get togethers. Bedrooms: Bedrooms are tastefully decorated with a neutral, earthy touch and offer generous space. The white linen and subdued hues, together with the wooden floors, creates a simple, beach-style character. All the rooms feature built-in cupboards. Main Bedroom: The main bedroom is a large, comfortable room with a study and a full en-suite bathroom featuring a Victorian bath. The room is fitted with a king-sized bed and has air-conditioning. The sliding doors opens up onto the patio and private garden that leads directly to the sea. Access to the main bedroom is through a spiral staircase. Second Bedroom: The second bedroom is on the top floor and has stunning ocean views and sliding doors that opens up onto the main balcony. Featuring a queen-sized bed, it also has built-in cupboards. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom. Third bedroom: The third bedroom is upstairs and has twin beds. The beach cottage provides secure automated garage parking for two vehicles. Additionally, there is enough space for 2 cars to park on the quiet cul de sac. This cottage provides more than ample security with an alarm system and perimeter sensors. The main bedroom has a digital safe. For your convenience, the cottage is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. BBQ facilities are available within your private garden, opening to the edge of the ocean. There is a flat screen television, DSTV and DVD player for entertainment. The centralised reception is open seven days a week where guests are required to check-in. You will then be escorted to the property. Housekeeping services are offered all year round. There is a refresh service offered daily to guests, which involved a general cleaning of the property. Linen is replaced once a week and housekeeping can be arranged on public holidays at an additional charge. Laundry and dry cleaning services are offered to all guests at a competitive rate. To make guests arrival as seamless as possible, we can do the shopping for you. The villa can be stocked with your choice of groceries and personal necessities and must be arranged prior to arrival
