Description:The Villa is centrally located in the Emilia Romagna region, the food belt of Italy. Our nearest town is Salsomaggiore, famous for its spa, and night life. Geographically, we are the hub for Northern Italy, with links leading to Milan and the lakes, the Mediterranean at Genoa, the Adriatic at Rimini, Venice/Verona to the North East, Turin to the West, and Florence to the South. Our nearest travel hub is the town of Fidenza, which offers links to the Autostada road networks, linking every major city in Italy. With average road travel speeds of 140kph, major cities in the region can be reached within 2 hours. Property is big enough to accommodate a few extra family members or friends during your stay, yet cosy enough for a family of four. n nSmall hillside village for peace, tranquility and the quiet life, yet close to the spa town of Salsomaggiore, and the market towns of Fidenza, Lugagnano, Fiorenzuola - and the local provincial capitals of Piacenza and Parma. Close to the medieval castles of Castell' Arquato, Castel Nuovo, Vigoleneo, Bardi. Visit Giuseppe Verdi's birthplace, theatre and museum at Busetto - catch some local opera to go with the local food and hospitality. n nSample the local trattorias around our Holiday Home Italy where you will find superbly cooked regional foods together with quality local wines. nOr...have a restful night at home in the Holiday Villa Italy, and try the local pasta specialty, freshly home made and recently frozen in your freezer. What more could a weary traveller require in a Holiday Home Italy. n nThe Villa (Country Villa Italy) has six large double bedrooms - three with queen sized double beds, and three with twin single beds. All bed linen, towels etc are provided. For winter guests, we have duvets, blankets and electric blankets. n nThe living room has satellite TV (ex UK) offering news from BBC, SKY and CNN as well as sports channels, childrene28099s channels and general entertainment. We have a DVD player (Zone 2) plus our own DVDs for you to use. The DVD/CD player has both internal and external speakers to complement your al-fresco dining. n nThe cantina (wine cellar) offers a cool storage facility for your groceries, wines and beers, though we also a separate drinks fridge to keep those white wines, beers and soft drinks at ideal temperatures. n nOur key entertainment facility is our external al-fresco dining area, useable for 9 months of the year offering a covered, protected dining/entertainment area, plus a wood-fired barbeque. n n nThe villa has full central heating with radiators in all rooms. Air-conditioners are fitted in all the bedrooms, plus the living room. The living room also has a slow combustion fire. All windows are double glazed, and all have sliding fly/mosquito screens.(Country Villa Rental Italy). n nWe offer a lap-top PC, printer, and internet access. (Broadband WIFI now available) n nThe Country Villa Italy is located on its own 4 acre site, backing on to natural hillsides. Views are fantastic. On clear days, you can see the Alps over the plain beyond Milan, over 150kms away! n n The area around the Villa is beautiful natural countryside, forming the foothills of the Apennines. Our local village Borla is a few minutes drive, or a 15 minute walk. Get some fresh bread from the bakery every morning! n t t t t t t t nWe are centrally located in Northern Italy, around 30 minutes drive to transport hub at Fidenza, with access to a very expansive motorway network, and high speed train links to Milan, Florence, Rome etc. nWe have numerous medieval castles (our local one at Vigoleno is clearly visible from the Villa. Other locals include Castelle28099 Arquato, Bardi, Fonatanellato etc). nVenture further afield to Verona (two hours door to door) and see the Roman amphitheater, or better still catch the open air opera during the summer season. nGet to the Med, and visit the Cinque Terre. Beautiful scenery - 2 hours drive n nAnother excellent day trip is to visit prestige motor factories in Bologna and Modena. Start with Ducati in Bologna, then head back through Modena and visit both Ferrari & Lambourghini. nMilan offers fantastic shopping, the Duomo, La Scala for opera lovers and many museums. Make a good day of it. We recommend taking the train - gets you right into the centre. nParma, our local city, offers many palaces, gardens, shopping, food and a fantastic museum.
