Description:This is a large and elegant family home in a quiet residential area, with a garden and good transport links to all areas of London. Wandsworth Common is in an extremely friendly and family oriented residential area, which is just south of the Thames river from the smart Chelsea area in central London. nOn the ground floor of the house there is a huge open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room. The windows and French doors which overlook the garden let in lots of natural light and there is a big L shaped sofa, a stool and a wall-mounted flatscreen TV with Sky. The dining area is also in this family space, with stylish lighting above. The garden is large enough for a kids trampoline, a spacious lawn and tables and chairs. It has a private back gate onto the most beautiful Common / Park in South West London. The Common has 2 kids' playgrounds, a lake full of wonderful wild life, a lovely cafe and lots of other great village like shops and features. nThere are wooden floors throughout and the kitchen is well-equipped with stainless steel appliances for your every need. There is a range cooker, a microwave, coffee maker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine/dryer. There is a stylish breakfast bar with two stools for an informal breakfast or morning coffee, or if the sun's shining, head out to the seating area on the patio - a great area for al fresco dining. nThe childrens' playroom is another reception room off this main living space, and has wooden flooring, a sofa, plenty of storage, a lovely white fireplace and a flatscreen TV with Playstation 2 and 3 games to entertain the whole family. nAt the front of the house you will find a smart, designer study with a desk, Mac computer and printer, and a beautiful ornate fireplace. There are some exceptional pieces of artwork to admire throughout this family home, and the library next door is another impressive room where you can relax with a book. With original dark wood shelving and a ladder, an Aztec style armchair and another fireplace, this room has a traditional feel. There is also a guest loo and a utility room on this floor. nUpstairs on the first floor you'll find the exquisite master bedroom with a double bed, plush furnishings including a velvet throw and a day bed/sofa at the foot of the bed. There's also floor to ceiling windows and a flatscreen TV with Sky. This room is decorated with soft blues and has a luxury vibe, particularly with its amazing en suite bathroom. You'll find a freestanding roll top bath, a traditional style loo and 'his and hers' sinks, and a separate glass shower unit. nAlso on this floor is the childrens' room with bunk beds, a chest of drawers, a sofa and a desk space. There's a big book collection in here to keep them busy too! There's a family bathroom on this floor with a bath (with shower attachment), a sink and a loo which is shared with the nursery where you'll find a cot for an infant, a sofa and a chest of drawers. nHead up to the top floor and there is a kitchen area on the landing. There is a double bedroom (usually for the nanny) with a double bed, a bookcase, bedside table, and a great view over Wandsworth Common. There is an en suite bathroom with a shower attachment over the bath, a sink and a loo. The guest bedroom on this floor is very stylish, with a wooden bedframe for the double bed, curved bedside tables and another en suite bathroom with a bath, sink and loo. nFor location, you are right in the heart of 'nappy valley' as it is often called, as this area is predominantly residential, with lots of affluent families. With Wandsworth Common literally at the end of the garden it is a great area for staying with children. nAlong Bellevue Road which is a 5 minute walk away there are some lovely boutique shops and cafes, and along Trinity Road there are more shops and restaurants. Northcote Road nearby, towards Clapham Junction has some pretty shops to explore too, with a village-feel. There are antique shops and branded shops as well as toy shop and cafes for tea and cakes. There's a market on Saturdays, and at Christmas time, look out for the reindeer! nHop on the 319 bus and it'll take you to Northcote Road and also onto Sloane Square and the famous King's Road in Chelsea where everything is high-end with lots of designer shops including Gucci, Prada, Armani, Tiffany & Co. and Hugo Boss... to name a few! nYou are just over a 5 minute walk away from Wandsworth Common overground station, and from here you can be at Imperial Wharf (for Chelsea Harbour with many more bars and restaurants) in 18 minutes and Shepherd's Bush for the huge Westfield Shopping Centre in 25 minutes. nHead to South Kensington for the Natural History, Victoria & Albert and Science Museums and plenty more boutique shops and restaurants (the best route for this is to get the overground train to West Brompton and change onto the District underground line). If you fancy heading to Oxford Street for shopping, head to West Brompton and from here you can be at Oxford Circus in 20 minutes. nThere are many other buses nearby for getting to other areas of the city, and there is also off-road parking for 2 cars and CCTV for your safety.
