Description:Casina di Rosa is a lovely stone house in a medieval village in the heart of Tuscany. It was built by the owner's great-grandparents and has always been in the family. It is perfectly located to explore southern Tuscany, situated as it is halfway between Siena and the coast of the Maremma, with easy access to the most famous sites in Tuscany. Hot springs are nearby and vineyards and olive groves surround the village. The house has a lovely kitchen furnished in a romantic country style and equipped with all the necessary amenities (washing machine, filter coffee machine, oven, fridge and freezer, toaster, etc.) to ensure that guests are comfortable. Some essentials for cooking are provided (spices, salt, sugar, tea and coffee, etc.). There is an open fireplace ideal to relax in the cold winter evenings. The large bedroom, with stone walls and beamed ceilings with cotto tiles, has a comfortable king-size bed and a lounge area with two sofas where guests can relax while planning their day trips with one of the guidebooks available at the house, reading a book, watching a DVD, or listening to music. In the bathroom they will find soft towels, hair drier and space heater for the winter. The house has a small loggia by the main entrance with garden chairs to enjoy the morning sun while sipping a hot cup of coffee or a nice cappuccino. Guests can also barbecue and dine al fresco while you watch the local life go by. The house has airconditioning for the hot summer months and heating for the winter months. We provide fire wood for the fireplace. Nothing is better than a bruschetta made with the local Tuscan bread toasted by the fireplace and garnished with spicy, newly pressed olive oil. We provide internet access via a USB pen drive (a laptop computer is necessary) and we have a cellphone available for rent (incoming calls are free). The house is non-smoking and it is rented from Saturday to Saturday only. A parking space is available for the guests. We can help guests plan wine and olive oil tours, cooking classes and other activities in the area.
