Easily accessible, with a nearby train station for trains to the beautiful medieval city of Coimbra (35km) and, from there, to all other Portuguese destinations ( the train line is currently undergoing renovation - a replacement bus service is in operation). n nRestored by the English/French owners, who live opposite, and decorated in charming, vintage chic style (think Cath Kidston, Rachel Ashwell and handpainted country furniture) the cottage is all on one level and sleeps up to four people in one double and one twin bedroom. In addition there is a light and airy living room with woodburning stove for colder months and a large and eclectic selection of books, guide books, local maps, games and dvd's, a spacious bathroom with overhead shower, well equipped kitchen/diner with seating for four which leads to a wrap around private terrace with table and chairs. There is also a seperate, secluded barbeque terrace with sitting/lounging areas which provides ample space to enjoy the stunning mountain views and surrounding countryside. All bedlinen, bath and beach towels are provided. New for 2011 - wifi internet access. Cot and other kid's stuff available on request. Breakfast is available (by prior request ) at 14 euros per person. n nWhatever the length of your stay, you will be welcomed with seasonal flowers, Cath Kidston bedlinen, Claus Porto soaps and hand made toiletries. A welcome basket is also provided. It includes (subject to availability) home made organic preserves, local cheese, muesli, honey from the mountains opposite, freshly baked bread, organic eggs, olives, olive oil, milk, tea, coffee, wine or beer and spring water and seasonal fruit & vegetables, enough for dinner and at least one breakfast. n nWorld famous tourist attractions, stunning ancient cities, lost mountain villages and beautiful crowd free beaches await you.
