We look forward to welcoming you in our island home! nThe house nMy parents, french father and tahitian mother, built this beautiful wooden house on stilts 30 years ago when Moorea was encircled by only a sand road and there were perhaps a dozen cars on the island. It has been renovated in 2007 and 2008. The wooden shingled roof is covered with white tin which, when you arrive from the sea, is hidden by the trees. Glass doors invite you to the sight-seeing of the beautiful gardens and lagoon from the living room. The paintings, furniture, decoration and tahitian bedcovers contribute to the warm mood of this house: nSurface: 1st floor 490 sq ft (3 rooms), mezzanine 213 sq ft, terrace 140 sq ft, garden 5 000 sq ft. nOutdoor ngarage annexe: a massage studio of 40 sq ft, a covered parking for 2 cars, a motorized gate, a wooden tiled passage from the parking to the house, 107 ft long, very convenient when it's raining, nThe pass is just across the lagoon, at the reef barrier, and you can anchor a boat in front of the house between the corals. The swimming spot is comfortable on a white sand bottom. The shore is bordered by a rock protection. The water, knee-deep for a few steps, becomes turquoise and then marine blue, which is ideal for walking, snorkeling and scuba-diving. You may then happen to see leopard rays, shells, fish, a turtle, some nice colored inhabitants of the corals... nA small mountain in the back protects the house from the cool southwinds in dry period (july). A front and back garden of flowers and fruit trees, which can be lighted up at night, nAcces to the equipment: micro-wave oven, cofee-machine, water-fountain (but tap water is very good in Maharepa), refrigerator, rice-cooker, 5-burner stove and oven, washing machine 18 pds, iron and ironing board, lines outside or in the loft to hang dry clothes, utensils, dishes, gas-barbecue, 3 lounge-chairs, one outrigger canoe, one kayak, electronic mosquito repellant, fins (large size), masks and tubas, mosquito net, hammock, TV, DVD, stereo amplifier, tape player, movie recorder, portable fans, ice-coolers, beach towels. nIncluded services: internet access (ADSL), cable TV with 27 TNS channels (some movies and channels are available in English ), lawn mowed 1 time/ 2 weeks, garden kept tidy, charges (electricity, ...), luggage-room (under conditions), possibly granted as a favour when available, an early check in and/or late check out. nAdditionnal costs: nThe house proposes diverse extra-services: house-cleaning, ironing, meal preparation (familial french and tahitian cooking, choice of french wine), tahitian massage, organisation of a tahitian party, a DJ animated party, car/scooter/bicycle rental, access to a fixed telephone line with fax.
